The Academy

Principal and Managing Director Miss Sally Jane Ilsley established the Life & Soul Academy in August 2002 with a vision to offer the highest level of performing arts tuition accessible to the entire community with complete inclusion.

Since the launch in 2002, the Academy has had tremendous success and triumphed in the face of adversity.

Between February 2004 and August 2007, whilst still growing the academy, Sally put her heart and soul into acquiring Boxmoor Hall to bring the building back to the heart of the community and offer a place for children and adults of all ages and abilities to go to gain confidence, improve life skills, have fun and at the same time achieve.

Boxmoor Hall is Life & Soul Academy's permanent home now. It is a fantastic building with a warm, welcoming feel and includes two dance studios, a therapy room, performing arts resource centre, dance stock shop, juice bar and much much more.
